Orientation Overview

Orientation is all about finding your way through the paperwork – and learning about all the resources you can (and should!) take advantage of as a student. Here’s a rundown of what’s in store:

Prior to your Advising Day, you will complete the online modules through the Office of New Student Programs Canvas site for the University of Michigan as well as the online modules in the Canvas site for the College of Engineering.

SECOND PART:

Your College of Engineering orientation will be held on your Advising Day. On that day, you will:

  • Learn about College of Engineering policies and procedures
  • Discuss course and major selection with your advisor
  • Discover the support services available to assist your academic growth
  • Be introduced to the extracurricular activities and opportunities offered by the College of Engineering
  • Connect with Peer Advisors to discuss the student experience
  • Register for classes
