What do you like about advising?
Academic Advising is an incredibly important profession. I love helping students reflect on their skills, interests, values, and career preferences, and helping them work toward those goals.

What do you like about working with engineering students?
They get my jokes, most of the time.

What was your major in college, and why?
After enjoying high school physics, I decided to major in Mechanical Engineering. It wasn't until my first full time job that I realized how much more there is to career direction than simply your undergraduate major.

What is your best piece of advice for first year students?
When it comes to involvement and major, trust your intuition, and get involved in ways that interest you.

What is the best kept secret in the College of Engineering?
The video game archives in the basement of the Duderstadt Center.

What do you spend time on outside of your work?
I'm a rec sports enthusiast who enjoys volleyball, running, and hockey.
