Hi, I’m Emma Mallon and I am a junior from Hartland, MI studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering. I joined the program as a mentor in 2016, and I am very excited to be a coordinator of the Peer Mentorship Program this year! In my free time I enjoy giving tours for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions through Campus Day and assisting in student recruitment through Student Ambassadors. I am also a member of Michigan Neuroprosthetics, a biomedical design team, and the Michigan Pompon Team. I’m very excited to assist a new group of mentors in making first-year students’ experience at Michigan one they will never forget! Feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns. Go Blue!
Hello, my name is James Wich. I am originally from Lighthouse Point, Florida, but I gave up the nice warm weather to study Aerospace Engineering and pursue a minor in Computer Science at the University of Michigan. I am currently a sophomore and joined the COE Peer Mentorship Program during my Freshman year as a mentee, deciding to become a mentor the year after and eventually becoming one of the coordinators for the program at the end of my sophomore year. When I am not bustling between classes, I can be found working in the Wilson Center as the Design Lead for the Human Powered Submarine Team, in the Union/League acting as Secretary for Engineering Student Government, or in the McMahon Cosmology Lab doing research with deep space energy detection plates. I am very excited to take on this new role assisting mentors and planning events for the program as I believe that the program provides an invaluable resource for incoming students who are a part of the program. Please contact me at email@example.com if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Live long and prosper…
